After a few years of vacancy, the Vegas afterhours club, formally known as Utopia reopened its doors as Empire Ballroom. Empire Ballroom stands apart from most nightclubs in that it's independently owned and operated and does not reside in a giant corporate casino. Created by the mastermind behind Hollywood's legendary Viper Room, Empire Ballroom not only has some of the hottest DJs spinning but has hosted such bands as Bad Religion, Veruca Salt, and most notably, the Killers.
With multiple rooms, including a crystal chandelier-adorned main room, a cozy VIP lounge, five bars and a Strip-facing outdoor patio, the club feels like an expansive, lush party house. The main room, decorated in rich reds and browns, featured overstuffed couches surrounding its large dance floor, all of which faces Empire's main stage where the DJ spins.
On the upper VIP balcony level, there are eight private cabanas. That level also provides access to the patio, which plays hosts to house DJs and offers amazing views of Las Vegas.
Location: On the Las Vegas Strip, between Tropicana Avenue and Harmon Avenue, across from the Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino.
